Dr. Christian M. Stracke is coordinator of the introduction of blended learning with virtual collaboration at the University of Excellence in Bonn, Germany (
www.uni-bonn.de). In addition, he is Adjunct Professor at the
Korea National Open University (KNOU) in Seoul, Advisory Professor at the
East China Normal University (ECNU) in Shanghai, as well as Founder and Director of the European Institute for Learning, Innovation and Cooperation (
www.elc-institute.org). He gained extensive experience (> 20 years of business and research in HR and E-Learning) in leading large-scale projects (with 50+ international partners) and research institutes and teams (up to 200 researchers). As a globally recognized expert and innovator, his main research and working fields are Open Education, technology-enhanced and online learning, competence building, impact assessment and educational policies.
He holds a PhD in Economics and Informatics (Dr. rer. pol.) and a Magister Artium (M.A.) in Educational Sciences. And he is senior researcher and strategy consultant for learning innovations, designs and quality with international reputation and more than 150 scientific publications.
Next to his authorship of numerous scientific books, articles and handbook chapters, he developed first global standards on learning innovations, technologies and quality. In international standardisation, he was elected Chair of International (ISO PC 288 and ISO/IEC JTC1 SC36/WG5) and European (CEN TC 353) Standardization Committees on (E-)Learning, Education and Training. Many research projects (100+, > 50 Mio EUR) were and are successfully managed and supervised as coordinator and quality manager by him.
