πŸ”΄ Open as a High Impact Practice: Centering Open Pedagogy and Public Scholarship

We partnered with a faculty member to redesign a first-year undergraduate course to develop the Talking Stories (https://www.talkingstories.uoregon.edu) OER, centering students as creators, not just consumers, of information. This session will share replicable practices that will work regardless of technical platform or subject matter. The high impact practice of collaborative digital projects is enhanced by incorporating open practices that helped create an OER and taught students about Creative Commons licenses, copyright, and fair use and ideas for asynchronous instruction will be shared.
